La Tomatina is a one-hour, organised tomato fight that takes over the streets of Buñol, just outside Valencia. You roll into town nice and early, meet up at the designated pre-party zone for inital festivities. Then once the lorries arrive it’s pure tomato chaos. It’s messy, loud and hilarious, but it’s still controlled with a clear start & stop as well as safety and emergency personal in attendance.
Afterwards, the streets get hosed down and you head back to Valencia grinning.
